Carly Rice

L.Ac, LMT, Certified Galactic Astrologer, Certified Shamanic Healing Practitioner

Carly is passionate about health and healing and has dedicated much of her life to pursue this passion! In 2004 Carly started studying Eastern Philosophy, Taoism and Buddhism. She was inspired by the writings of Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, and Alan Watts and knew she needed to continue studying Taoist philosophy. In 2013 she attended The Wellspring School for Healing Arts and studied Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi and acupressure bodywork, called Amma Therapy. Carly practiced this form for many years, working in various acupuncture and chiropractic clinics. She then decided to continue her pursuits in Chinese Medicine by incorporating acupuncture into her practice. In 2019, she studied with a Master acupuncturist and 77th generation Taoist priest of the Jade Purity Lineage, Jeffrey Yuen. After Covid came in 2020, she moved to Boulder, Colorado. There she studied Classical Five Element Acupuncture at the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture directly from the lineage of J.R. Worsley. After 7 years of formal education in Chinese Medicine, Carly obtained her Masters degree in Acupuncture.

Her path has led her to study Shamanic healing in a 6-year apprenticeship in the traditional Peruvian style of the Q’ero, and in 2014 she became a certified professional shamanic healing practitioner from Rising Fire school of Shamanism.

She has also studied Mayan healing from Miss Beatrice’s lineage in Belize which includes Mayan abdominal massage, plant spirit medicine, plant limpias and ritual prayer baths.

Carly is certified in Galactic Astrology - Quantum Soul Guidance from Julia Balaz, as well as practicing traditional astrology. She has studied astrology for 13 years and has had the pleasure of learning from some of the best astrologers currently in practice!

All of these modalities are offered seamlessly and interwoven into the fabric of who she is and what she is able to offer her patients.

Carly enjoys being creative, working with fabric art, ceramics, spinning wool, expressive movement dance, and swimming in the ocean! Carly also loves to travel and recently spent three months in Ireland practicing acupuncture. She is an adventurous spirit and lived off grid in a tipi in Taos, New Mexico with her wolf dog Nico for two years. Her daily motto was literally “Chop Wood, Carry Water.” This experience created a sense of resilience, confidence, simplicity and freedom. She doesn’t take herself too seriously, she is humble, a deep listener, and she holds a big picture perspective of life.
